Mansfield Woman Charged After String of Business Break-ins in Norton
The 21-year-old was charged after alleged thefts early Thursday morning.

While most people were getting some much needed sleep after celebrating the new year, a Mansfield woman was reportedly breaking into businesses in Norton.
Norton Police responded to North Easton Savings Bank on Mansfield Avenue at 3:15 a.m. Thursday. They found a rear window was broken.
A short time alter, another alarm sounded -- this time at Norton Liquors. Police found a front glass door broken there.

Police searched both the bank and liquor store, but didn’t find anyone.
Norton Police searched the area and found a woman, Alexandria Foster, 21, of Branch Street, Mansfield, walking on Mansfield Avenue. Police allegedly found that Foster had 13 packs of cigarettes that were missing from Norton Liquors. They also reportedly discovered that Foster had a wagon full of firewood bundles that were reported missing from MAS Gas.

Police were also “able to determine that Foster was the suspect involved with the incident at North Easton Savings Bank.”
Police arrested Foster and charged her with two counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, two counts of malicious destruction of property over $250 and larceny under $250.
“Investigating the incident were Det. Lt. Thomas J. Petersen, Jr., Sgt. Robert Whitfield, Ptlm. Patrick Mahoney and Ptlm. Christopher McCarthy,” said Norton Police.
“Foster is being held at the Norton Police Department on $500 cash bail,” added Norton Police.
