Mansfield Wrestlers Have Solid Showing at Burger Invitational
The Hornets placed third, led by five third place finishes.
The Mansfield wrestling team competed at the Burt Burger Invitational Tournament in Chicopee on Saturday 1/19. Mansfield had wrestlers competing in 10 of the 14 weight classes.
Threes were wild as the following five Hornet wrestlers placed 3rd. Sam McLoughlin (132) was 3-1, Joe Herrick (138) was 3-1 with 2 pins, Mike Chace(152) was 2-1, Max Trowbridge (170) was 3-1 with 1 pin and Sam Caskey (220) was 3-1 with 1 pin. Overall it was a good showing for the team as they come down the home stretch of the regular season.
Mansfield next wrestles tonight at Mansfield High School against Franklin.
