Norton Man Killed in Route 495 Rollover Identified

The driver of a box truck has died after a rollover on Route 495 in Mansfield.

One person has died after a vehicle rollover near exit 12 on Route 495 in Mansfield.

At 3:15 p.m., state police from Foxborough responded to a box truck that rolled off the highway and into a wooded area.

According to a preliminary investigation, Bruno Ferrara, 55, of Norton, was driving box truck lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway.

The Mansfield Fire Department extricated the male, who was taken to Moton Hospital in Taunton, where he was pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed and the accident remains under investigation.

It is believed by the state police that a red motor vehicle may have cut off the box truck, causing the operator to lose control. Anyone with any information regarding this crash is asked to contact the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Foxborough at 508-543-8550.
