Medtronic Staying in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, MA - The largest employer in Mansfield will stay in town and will not make significant job cuts.

Town Manager Bill Ross told the Sun Chronicle that Medtronic will remain in Mansfield with about 1,300 employees. Last year, the medical supply company purchased Covidien.

While large reductions in staff are not expected, the company plans on consolidating staff into two of their four buildings. The two buildings will keep the buildings, which real estate representatives have shown to potential tenants.
