MESA Presenting 2011 Casino NIght Fundraiser

2011 date set.

Mansfield Elementary School Association (MESA) has set the date of Saturday, November 19 for one of their most popular annual fundraisers – Casino Night – that will be held at 7 p.m. at the TPC Boston Clubhouse in Norton.

“Casino Night is considered the event that is a ‘parent night out’ among families,” said Danielle Fish, this year’s returning co-chair. “It’s the singular event where we welcome just the adults for some fun and for a good cause.”

Fellow Co-Chair, Peggy Doherty, agrees, “It’s a great night to get out and catch up with everyone. We see a lot of the moms make it a ladies night out, too!”

MESA has a hired a professional gaming company, who will run the entertainment with Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Texas Hold’em Poker and a special Casino Magic performer, all tables will be staffed by professional dealers.
In addition there will be a LIVE auction and raffle baskets with great and unique prizes again this year. Organizers noted that one of the prize packages includes a fun, new item - reserved parking space for one family in front of the schools for the month of January.

North Easton Savings Bank is returning as the event’s Presenting Sponsor, along with other local businesses signed on to date, such as Barrows Insurance Agency, Koko FitClub, Easton Pool & Spa, Hockomock YMCA, Personal Best Karate and Jameson Landscaping.
For all the fun and good food, both women stressed the importance of participation by the parent community to make the event a success.

“We couldn’t be more grateful for the early support from these sponsors,” notes Doherty. “Local businesses are always generous to our schools and we hope our event can give them some spotlight as well!”

“A successful event means greater benefits to the students and classrooms – the entire reason the committee works so hard to put this together every year, “added Fish.

The proceeds from Casino Night have been earmarked for completing the goal of putting Smart Board Technology in all the classrooms and purchasing document cameras so teachers can display materials and students’ work in real-time during a lesson.

Working with Fish and Doherty is this year’s Casino Night Committee which includes Wendy Hill, Alexandra Piccirilli, Madeline Anderson, Susanne Taylor, Diane Corning, Sue Healey, and Susan Burns.

The Committee is encouraging parents of elementary school students to please check the new E-Backpack system on the schools’ website and MESA’s Facebook page for important notices about raffle basket donations and ticket sales.  All information will be listed here.

Casino Night is also still in need of a few local businesses or families willing to be a sponsor of the event.  If you’d like to promote your business to local families at the event, contact Wendy Hill at wwajhill@comcast.net.

Families are also encouraged to check out the E-Backpack for information on donations for raffle baskets.  Each grade has been assigned themes and baskets for collection are located in the main offices in the Robinson and Jordan/Jackson schools.

Tickets will go on sale the week of October 17 both online and in selected store in Mansfield.  Parents can purchase tickets early for $40 each through October 31.  After that date tickets are $45 each.
