MHS Entrepreneurs Make Donation to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
Students ran a successful small business to raise money for the cause.
The Mansfield High School Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling Mansfield decals during the fall semester. When the project was completed, students donated their proceeds of $700 to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, in memory of Samantha Bourque (MHS class of 2009). Additionally, they made microloans to entrepreneurs in both Liberia and Kyrgyzstan through Kiva.org. Since the inception of this “small business” project, students have donated over $7,000 to local charities and funded aspiring entrepreneurs in 14 different countries. The project was born from a grant awarded by the Mansfield Education Foundation to increase classroom innovation and authentic learning experiences.
Decals are still available for $4 each and come in both green and black. If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact jacqueline.prester@mansfieldschools.com.
