MHS Entrepreneurs Make Donation to the Shane Farrell Scholarship

Students ran a successful small business to raise money for the cause.

The Mansfield High School entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling Mansfield lanyards during the spring semester. When the project was completed, students donated their proceeds of $320 to the Shane Farrell Scholarship in memory of classmate Shane Farrell. Since the inception of this “small business” project, students have donated over $7,500 to local charities and funded aspiring entrepreneurs in 14 different countries through microloans on Kiva.org. The project was born from a grant awarded by the Mansfield Education Foundation to increase classroom innovation and authentic learning experiences for students.
