Name of Deceased Driver in West Street Crash Released

Police officials have released the name of the deceased drive from a car crash on West Street early Sunday morning.

Nichole Lodico, 24 of 80 Williams Street Mansfield was the sole occupant of the vehicle involved in the crash.

The accident was reported at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning after multiple 911 calls were received for the accident on the street according to Mansfield Police.

An early investigation shows that the operator lost control of the vehicle while entering Mansfield from North Attleboro. The vehicle then left the road, hitting a large rock and a telephone pole.

Upon arriving to the scene, public safety officials discovered heavy damage to the vehicle and Lodico, who was deceased.

The accident remains under investigation.
