No Trash Pickup Tuesday in Mansfield; Police Announce Parking Ban

With snow on the way, there will be no garbage collection or on-street parking in Mansfield Tuesday.

MANSFIELD, MA — With a big storm on the way, the Mansfield Police Department is telling residents to get their cars off the road.

Police Chief Ron Sellon has instituted a mandatory on-street parking ban from 8 a.m. Tuesday through 4 p.m. Wednesday.

"With snowfall rates predicted to be anywhere between 2 and 4 inches per hour, we will need everyone's help in keeping the roads clear for the plows to do their thing. As always MPD will be staffed for the occasion. If you need us, we'll be here to answer your call," police said on Facebook.
