Norton Man Charged With OUI, Damaging South Common
Police say the charge was Stephen Thrasher's second OUI offense.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Norton man drove through the South Common while drunk and left a trail of damage, police said.
Stephen Thatcher, 25, was arrested Thursday and charged with his second operating under the influence of alcohol offense, driving to endanger, and a marked lanes violation, according to the Sun Chronicle.
Just before 4 a.m. Thursday morning, a driver told police that they saw a vehicle go off the road and into the common. Police say the vehicle went onto the sidewalk and into a fence.

Thrasher was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail during his arraignment in Attleboro District Court. He is due back on Sept. 16.
