Norton Woman in Mansfield Rollover Charged with Drunken Driving

Police and fire crews responded to a crash on the Route 140.

MANSFIELD, MA - Just 12 hours after responding to a rollover on Route 140, police and fire crews in Mansfield returned to the road.

Just before midnight Wednesday, a rollover at the s surves between SchoolStreet and I-495 South was reported. Upon arrival, Sgt. Thibault, Sgt. Hopkins, and Ofc. Kennedy found a Toyota Prius on its side, with the female operator trapped inside.

Mansfield fire was able to quickly extricated the operator from the vehicle before being transporting her to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident was cleared and the roadway reopened at 1:08 a.m.

The operator, Alison Baker, 44, of Norton will be summonsed to court for the following charges: operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and marked lanes violation.
