One Injured in Accident at West Street/Forbes Boulevard Intersection

One woman is in the hospital after an accident involving a large SUV and a flatbead truck at the intersection of West Streets and Forbes Boulevard.

According to Mansfield Police, both the sport utility vehicle and large flat bed truck received heavy damage from the accident.

The female operator of the SUV was removed from her vehicle by fire personnel and transported to Rhode Island Hospital. The operator of the truck was uninjured. Both were seat belted.

Traffic was detoured around the crash scene during the investigation, with crews leaving the scene at 9:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation by Mansfield Traffic Officer David Kinahan.
