Over 140,000 Bees Removed Card Memorial Chapel
Two large beehives have been removed from a chapel at a Mansfield cemetery.

After a residency lasting over 50 years, two beehives totaling over 140,000 bees have been removed from Card Memorial Chapel at Spring Brook Cemetery.
While the chapel has not been used since the 1990s, the Boston Globe reports that the chapel is being renovated by the Spring Brook Cemetery board and removing the bees was only logical
Bee keeper Jon Nelson told the Globe that the beehives found in the chapel ceiling were some of the biggest he has ever seen, measuring about two feet long, one foot wide, and seven feet up.

While the bees may be out of the chapel, they were relocated instead of exterminated. The bees were moved safely to North Smithfield, R.I.
