Over $40,000 In Checks From Mansfield Unclaimed

MANSFIELD, MA — If you're low on cash, you might want to check and see if you have an abandoned check at Town Hall

As of Oct. 9, Mansfield has over 200 unclaimed checks totaling over $40,000, according to the town's website. Some of the checks go back to 2007, while some are more recent and are from 2016.

The biggest unclaimed check belongs to AC Intermediate Co. for $1,827.64. That check was issued on June 21, 2011. Degirolamo, care of Village Landing apparently didn't cash a check for $1,500 issued on Oct. 29, 2013 and neither did the H.G. Dyer Company, which never claimed a $1,293.75 check issued on Feb. 7, 2012.

If you have an unclaimed check, you have until Oct. 25 to file a claim for a check under $100 and until Nov. 15, 2018 for one over $100.
