Police Log: Cat Found in Shipment, Missing Rear View Mirrors, and More
The following is from the Mansfield Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

September 7
12:04 a.m. - Police were told that people were refusing to leave the pool area at the Holiday Inn on Hampshire Street. An officer advised all parties to leave and they complied.
4:59 p.m. - A warrant check was requested on Chauncy Street. During the search, David Drinkwater, 40, of Mansfield was arrested with a warrant.

7:00 p.m. - The reporting party reported that a goose fell face first and was laying on the lawn of a Central Street home.
When an officer arrived on the scene, it was reported that the good was ambulatory. The reporting party claimed that the goose seemed disoriented and fell several times.

The office reported that the goose was acting normal and cleared the scene.
September 8
9:11 a.m. - A person called to report that her car window was smashed over night on South Main Street,
4:39 p.m. - A person being belligerent to customers at the train station was reported. An office spoke to the male, who said he was leaving on the next train to Providence.
September 9
8:53 a.m. - There was an attempted vehicle break-in at the Holiday Inn on Hampshire Street overnight. An officer reported that there was some damage to the frame and nothing of value inside the vehicle.
9:30 a.m. - The side mirrors were torn off of four cars on Connors Avenue.
1:07 p.m. - A stray cat was found in a shipping container at Daimler Chrysler on Forbes Boulevard. The shipment was from Michigan and had been on the road for five days.
3:47 p.m. - During the Ed Sheeran concert at the Xfinity Center, police took no one into custody.
10:08 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop near Stop and Shop on Chauncy Street, police made one arrest and issued two summons.
Michael Kerr, 33, of Norton was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense..
One summoned was issued for attaching place and allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle.
A second summons was issued for receiving stolen property less than $250.
