Police Log: Destruction of Property, Breaking and Entering, and More

October 1

2:06 p.m. - A caller on Curtin Street told police that when she arrived home, she found two teenage girls in her home who she knew the names of. Officers checked the area and two juveniles were taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering for a misdemeanor.

5:39 p.m. - A caller at Mansfield Gas Service on Chauncy Street told police that he was holding a suspect that he believed threw a rock through a window at the business. The suspect, John Connaughton, 56, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with wanton destruction of property over $250.

6:38 p.m. - A 23-year-old from Mansfield received a summons for violating an abuse prevention order.

October 2

10:47 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Pratt and Hope Streets, a 60-year-old female from Taunton received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

October 3

11:53 a.m. - A caller reported an erratic operator on Eastman Street. According to the caller, the vehicle crossed the double-yellow line multiple times. After the car crashed into another vehicle on East Street, the driver, a 34-year-old female from Randolph, received a summons for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and state highway traffic violation.

6:50 p.m. - Michael Reade, 25, of Mansfield, was arrested on a warrant on West Street.
