Police Log: Drugged Driving, Receiving Stolen Property, and More

October 4
3:08 p.m. - A 35-year-old from Mansfield and a 15-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged with assault and battery on a family or household member.

8:43 a.m. - A 911 caller reported an erratic operator on Copeland Drive, The caller said the driver struck another car on the highway near Route 140. After police pulled over the vehicle on School Street, the driver, a 29-year-old male from Providence, R.I., received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, and leaving the scene of property damage.

1:37 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop near the intersection of Route 140 and Norfolk Street, John Tsimortos, 61, of Sharon, was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $250, number plate violation to conceal ID, operating with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating without an inspection sticker, and a motor vehicle lights violation.
October 8
9:40 p.m. - A caller reported a car that crashed into a tree on Pratt Street. When police responded, they found a bag of syringes on the lawn of a nearby property. The driver, Timothy Barry, 26, of Foxborough, was arrested and charged with under the influence of drugs, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, and marked lanes violation.
