At 11:59 a.m., police reported an injured squirrel at Memorial Park on Hope Street. The squirrel was removed by Animal Control and taken to the shelter.
At 2:05 p.m., police reported a drug law violation at Stop & Shop, 377 Chauncy St., where four males in a red Sedan were parked in the parking lot. Parties admitted to smoking a small amount of marijuana and were advised by officers and sent on their way.

At 10:35 p.m., police reported a domestic disturbance on Old Farm Road regarding a verbal argument between the caller and a family member. Parties were advised their rights and declined further assistance.

At 10:02 a.m., police reported malicious damage to a mailbox on Elm Street. A caller reported that this was not the first occurrence.
At 4:01 p.m., police received an animal complaint at Fulton’s Pond on Rumford Avenue regarding a duck wrapped in a fishing line.
At 5:39 p.m., police received an animal complaint regarding a horse running down Stearns Avenue. The horse was stabled and the owner was notified.
Sunday, Aug. 10
At 12:38 a.m., police arrested Jennie Yeung, 369 Richardson Ave., of Attleboro, for operating under the influence of liquor on Elm Street. Police described Yeung’s driving as “all over the road.”
At 12:02 p.m., police arrested Stanley J Pignone, 242 S Worcester Apt. no. C of Norton, for larceny over $250 due to stealing a book of lottery tickets from Family Food Mart, 660 East St.
At 1:09 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle hit and run at Route 140 and Chauncy Street. Vehicle was described as a white Pontiac that was operated by a female.
