Police Log: Evading Cab Fare, Throwing Hot Chocolate, and More

October 5
12:08 a.m. - A caller at the Wendy’s on Copeland Drive told police that a passenger in his taxi refused to pay for her ride. When police arrived on the scene, Kelly Broderick, 31, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a Class E drug, evading taxi fare, disorderly conduct, and with a warrant.
4:34 p.m. - While on Route 106, a person reported that someone in a passing car threw a mug of hot chocolate at her windshield.

7:46 p.m. - A summons was issued near School Street on Route 140 South to a 58-year-old male from Plymouth for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
October 6

1:35 a.m. - Christine Pirrello, 52, of Mansfield, was arrested at the intersection of School and Old Elm Streets and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger.
11:41 a.m. - Police received a report of an erratic driver on East Street. The reporting party told police that the driver hit a mailbox near St. Mary’s Church.
When an officer found the party while he was changing his tire, the driver explained that he would fix the mailbox after he fixed his tire. The driver also stated that the cause of hitting the mailbox was a spider in his car.
October 7
9:34 p.m. - A 25-year-old male from Taunton, was issued a summons at the intersection of West Street and Route 140 North for having an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.
