Police Log: Feet Rubbing, Hunters, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

December 28

1:29 p.m. - Stolen bed sheets were reported at Mansfield Fabric Care on Thomas Street.

8:00 p.m. - A caller reported someone banging on her back door on South Main Street. A check of the area found nothing with extra checks throughout the evening to follow.

December 29

2:29 p.m. - A caller reported three middle school kids rolling a basketball and tennis ball across Ware Street when cars were driving by. An officer spoke with four youths, advised them of the complaint, and told them to stop.

2:58 p.m. - Three hunters near McKenzie Lane were reported. An officer spoke the men and told them to move along.

8:15 p.m. - Three youths stringing up something across Spring Street were reported. An officer spoke with the youths, who stung up caution tape across the roadway. They took the tape down prior to the officer’s arrival. They were advised of the complaint.

December 30

10:29 a.m.- An incident at the train station from earlier in the morning was reported. According to the reporting party, a young woman inside the train station building was approached by a male who after a brief conversation in which he complimented her books, began rubbing her feet. The female was described as appearing shocked. The involved male was described as a black male between the ages of 40-45, 6’-6’l”, 240 lbs, and wearing a Bruins hat.

December 31

11:06 a.m. - The reporting party said there was a vehicle in his driveway upon returning to his Claire Avenue home. A female party was also at his front door looking through the windows. The female told the reporting party she was looking for a friend and thought she lived there. The male passenger then got out of the car and asked if the reporting party had ordered a Bose stereo. The two then got in the car and left toward Balcom Street. The female was described as a white female with brown hair. The male was described as a white male in his late 20s wearing a baseball hat. No access was gained to the house. The vehicle was not found during a check of the area. Norton, North Attleboro and Foxborough police were advised.

2:36 p.m. - A summons was issued on East Street to a 42-year-old male from Norfolk for having an uninsured motor vehicle.
