Police Log: Intoxicated Cyclist, Break-in Suspect Arrested, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

April 17

4:09 p.m. - Manyvone Sengsavong, 30, of Woonsocket, was arrested on a warrant at the intersection of Chauncy Street and Giles Place.

4:32 p.m. - A 64-year-old from Mansfield at the train station lot on River Street received a summons for leaving the scene of property damage.

9:23 p.m. - A caller reported an intoxicated male on a bike causing a scene near Church and Rock Streets. The 61-year-old male from Mansfield was taken into protective custody.

April 18

7:50 a.m. - A caller reported a vehicle crossing the double yellow lines near the Easton-Mansfield town line. Police were able to locate the vehicle near the intersection of Route 140 and West Street. The operator, a 53-year-old from North Andover, received a summons for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and failure to stop/yield.

10:19 a.m. - A 27-year-old from Mansfield was arrested and charged with assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250.

6:18 p.m. - A caller reported an erratic operation on Highland Avenue. At the same time, a break-in on the street was reported. Police located the suspect and arrested Bobbie Lee Beland, 34, of North Attleboro. She was charged with breaking and entering a building in the nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $250, and operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger.


April 19

5:21 a.m. - A caller reported two white males trying to get into a home County Street through a window. Officers checked the area and did not find anyone or any damage to any windows or doors.
