Police Log: Multiple Charges for Attempted Fraud at Best Buy and Sprint Store, OUI, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

March 1

1:06 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of North Main Street and Chauncy Street, Hector Rene Alvarez Rosales, 46, of Attleboro, was arrested with a warrant and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and driving down the wrong way of a state highway.

10:28 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Route 140 and Norfolk Street, a summons was issued to a 23-year-old male from Bellingham for having an unregistered motor vehicle, having an uninsured motor vehicle, and not having possession of registration.

2:32 a.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Chauncy Street, a summons was issued to a 56-year-old male from Columbia, NH for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

7:22 a.m. - A summons was issued on North Street to a 56-year-old female from Cumberland, RI for two counts of threatening to commit a crime.

8:50 a.m. - A caller reported two vehicle break-ins on Columbus Avenue.

9:36 a.m. - A vehicle break-in was reported on Court Street. About $6 in loose change was taken from the ashtray.

10:22 a.m. - Daniel Tintindo, 32, of Mansfield, was arrested with a warrant at Stop and Shop on Chauncy Street.

1:32 p.m. - A caller reported a suspicious party in the Sprint Store on School Street. After police spoke with multiple parties in the area, Kodio Kondon, 28, of Poughkeepsie, NY, was arrested and charged with five counts of receiving stolen property, attempted to commit a crime/fraud, and uttering a false document.

3:43 p.m. - A vehicle break-in on Court Street from earlier in the morning was reported.

7:38 p.m. - Best Buy customer service reported having a male with a fraudulent credit card in their Mansfield Crossing store. After police found the man at Petco and Kohl’s, Patrick Stewart, 24, of Jamaica, NY, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, wanton injuries to personal property, forging or uttering a forged credit card, forging/misuse of a RMV document, attempting to commit a larceny over $250, six counts of receiving stolen property over $250, improper use of credit card over $250, and larceny over $250. The next day, Stewart returned to the police station to speak with an officer regarding the arrest from the previous day. As a result of the ongoing investigation, he was charged with six counts of receiving stolen property over $250, improper use of a credit card over $250, and larceny over $250.

8:23 p.m. - A caller reported an occupied vehicle that was sitting in the lot near Xtra-Mart on South Main Street for an hour. The caller said there was a male sleeping in the motor vehicle who refused to leave when asked to do so. The 39-year-old male from Mansfield received a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
