Police Log: Panhandling, Slashed Tires, and More

August 22

8:20 - Caller reported that the tires on her motor vehicle on North Main Street were slashed.

4:28 p.m. - A male and female panhandling at the entrance of Stop and Shop were reported.

9:35 p.m. - Caller on Collins Avenue reported that some of his belongings stolen.

August 23

12:31 a.m. - A car was broken into at Cibo Matto Cafe on Chauncy Street. The owner of the car said a bag of clothes was stolen from her car.

1:07 a.m. - A male from Mansfield located on North Main Street was taken into protective custody.

9:57 p.m. - Evan Sommerich, 20, of Norton was arrested and charged with possession/use of a false/stolen RMV document and uttering a false document at Dub’s Liquors on Chauncy Street.

The following were taken into custody during the Brad Paisley show at the Xfinity Center in Aug. 23. Ten concertgoers were arrested, 46 were taken into protective custody. Charges were dropped for one person.
