Police Log: Resident Reports Someone Threw a Rock Through Car Window

Tuesday, July 29

At 12:10 p.m., police responded to Kohl’s about a possible shoplifting. An employee said he saw a male and female leaving the store. He earlier saw them put clothes in a bag, but they said they hadn’t bought anything and had thrown away the receipt.

At 3:25 p.m., police received a call from Chauncy Street about a person peeking into vehicles and pulling handles. He left before police arrived.

Wednesday, July 30

At 2:16 a.m., police responded to Gilbert Street after someone threw a rock through a car window. A side mirror was also damaged.

At 6 p.m., a Shawmut Avenue resident reported seeing someone walk across her neighbor’s yard at 4 a.m. that morning. Police asked the caller to report suspicious activity when she sees it.
