Police Log: Road Rage Incident Involving Ax Reported at Xfinity Center

Thursday, July 31

At 5:14 a.m., police received a call reporting there were three brown horses approximately six feet tall in the road on Elm Street and almost hit the caller’s vehicle. Norton Police Department sent the horses’ owner to pick them up, and she took them back to Norton in a trailer.

At 4:04 p.m., police responded to a call on Summit Avenue to assist Mansfield Fire Department with an 18-month-old that ingested fragrance spray. The child was transported to Norwood Hospital.

At 9:52 p.m., police were informed that a male with short brown hair in a blue shirt at Dub’s Liquors, 30 Chauncy St., was attempting to pass a fake form of identification. The caller told police the male took the identification from him and ran out of the store before he could call the police. The caller told police the male left in a black Accord, and headed west on Route 106.

At 1:30 a.m., police received a report of larceny at South Main Street. The caller wanted to speak to an officer regarding money taken from his residence while he was on vacation.

At 3:34 a.m., police received a 911 call in whcih the caller told police he was being assaulted in his home on Willow Street. Police arrested Amy Leigh Pelletier, 361 Willow St., for a warrant arrest and drug possession charges, and Russell Vigue, 361 Willow St., for domestic assault and battery.

At 4:13 p.m., police were informed by a caller on Copeland Drive that someone sent her daughter a racial slur on a Facebook group chat. Officers went to Essex Street to speak to the child who wrote the slur. Officers reported that the family is on vacation and will advise the child via cell phone.At the Xfinity Center Def Leppard/Kiss concert, security requested police for a road rage incident in which a male pulled an ax on another male. The first male exited his vehicle and approached the second male who lifted up an ax in a sheath, but did not wave or threaten the other man with it. Both parties apologized and went on their way.

At 7:56 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle with multiple males between School Street and Plymouth Street. Sean Boswell, 430 School St., was put in custody for an arrest warrant.
