Police Log: Stolen Earrings, Attempted Break-in, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log. Where arrests and charges are mentioned, they do not imply conviction.

December 18

5:03 a.m. - Police received a 911 call. The caller reported that two males attempted to break into his mothers home. They appeared to be circling the house before opening a door and looking inside. Then, the caller approached them and they left the area on foot down High Street towards the tracks. Police were unable to located the suspects after a search of the area.

9:45 a.m. - A summons was issued to a 55-year-old male from Norton on Giles Place for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender.

December 19

8:31 p.m. - The reporting party told police that a male wearing black sweatpants with a white stripes and goatee stole several pairs of earrings at Claire’s at Mansfield Crossing. The mall detail were advised and responded.

December 20

6:29 a.m. - A summons was issued to a 53-year-old male from Brockton at the intersection of Franklin Street and Pine Needle Lane for operation of an unlicensed motor vehicle and speeding in violation of special regulation.
