Police Log: Trapped in the Train Car, Vehicle Hits House, and More

January 15

1:07 a.m. - A 54-year-old from Walpole was taken into protective custody.

6:55 a.m. - A two-car crash was reported on Elm Street.

8:07 a.m. - A vehicle crashed into a home on Spring Street.

6:00 p.m. - Austin Needlemen, 22, of Brockton, was arrested at the Mansfield Police Station on a warrant.

10:58 p.m. - MBTA Transit Police received a call from a man who was locked inside a train car. The stop line was contacted and the conductor was able to free the man at the Mansfield stop.

10:49 a.m. - After police confirmed a hit and run, a 23-year-old male from Hyde Park received a summons for leaving the scene of property damage.

11:28 a.m. - A car crash was reported on School Street.

9:44 p.m. - John Cronin, 57, of Plainville, was arrested on Old Elm Street on two warrants.
