Police Log: Video Game Player Makes Alleged Threat

Saturday, Aug. 2
At 11:35 a.m., police were informed of a suspicious person on Thompson Street. The caller reported a white male in a gray shirt walking up and down the street. A male walked up to the suspect in the gray shirt and put an item into his pocket. Both parties walked into the woods. Police spoke to both parties and they admitted to smoking a small amount of marijuana. Officers reported there were no controlled substances on location and advised the people of the complaint.

At 6:33 p.m., police were informed that a man struck a dog on Shawmut Avenue. The owners were at the location at the time. Officers reported that the dog had died. The owners took the animal to West Bridgewater for arrangements.
At 10:20 p.m., police received a report of a domestic disturbance on Park Street. Officers reported that it was a verbal argument over a failing drug test.

At 11:42 p.m., police received a call on Pratt Street regarding harassment. The caller informed police that his younger brother was playing a video game and the person he was playing with stated he had the home address and was coming to kill him. Police responded and there were no issues.
Sunday, Aug. 3
At 6:33 a.m., police arrested Paul Story, 14 Shanus Lane, of Dixmont, ME, for disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and malicious damage to property at Holiday Inn, 331 Hampshire St. A caller told police that Story was “kicking and screaming saying he does not know who he is and is delirious.” Bail was set at $540.
At 6:17 p.m., police received numerous 911 calls for a male and female domestic disturbance on East Street. The male and female were arguing and fled prior to police arrival.
Monday, Aug. 4
At 10:53 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle property damage incident on West Street. Police reported that there was a hit and run. Caller stated there was a scratch on her vehicle, but refused to bring the vehicle to be examined by the police.
At 7:33 p.m., after a motor vehicle stop, a Mansfield man was summonsed for operating after inspection and no inspection sticker. His plates were seized and license suspended.
At 8:32 p.m., police received an animal complaint on Oak Street about a bat inside the house. Officers caught the bat and submitted it for testing due to animals inside the home.
