Rebates up to $2250 for Wood Stove Change-Out deadline June 19

For a limited time, the program offers standard rebates of up to $1,250 and low-income rebates of up to $2,250. Must apply by June 19

Breathe Easy when you change-out your older, inefficient non-EPA certified wood stove for a new high-efficiency, low-emissions EPA-certified wood or pellet stove or insert AND get a rebate of up to $2,250 with the MassCEC 2015 Commonwealth Wood Stove Change-Out Program.

The partnership between the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Energy Resources, offers substantial rebates to assist Massachusetts residents in replacing non-EPA-certified wood stoves with cleaner, more efficient EPA-certified wood or pellet stoves.

For a limited time, the program offers standard rebates of up to $1,250 and low-income rebates of up to $2,250. Applications will be accepted until June19, 2015.

Many older stoves operate inefficiently, resulting in higher heating costs and emissions of harmful air pollutants that can increase the risk of heart conditions, trigger asthma attacks and aggravate lung diseases. By replacing an old stove with a high-efficiency, low-emissions wood or pellet stove, you can reduce your heating costs and improve local air quality.
