R.I. Man Sentenced to Prison for Mansfield Drug Arrest
Jorge-Luis Santiago, 36, was sentenced after pleading guilty to multiple drug distribution charges.

A North Providence man arrested in Mansfield after an undercover investigation will serve a prison sentence after pleaded guilty.
Jorge-Luis Santiago, 36, was sentenced by Judge William Sullivan to two years in prison, according to the Sun Chronicle. On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
On Jan. 9, Santiago was arrested by members of the Mansfield Police Department, the Northern Bristol County Task Force, and Foxborough Police Department in the parking lot of 10 County Street. Recovered from the search of his vehicle was heroin and cocaine packaged for sale, along with cash and paperwork consistent with the distribution of narcotics.

Santiago faces pending weapons and drug charges in Providence Superior Court. He was also deported twice and is being held on a federal immigration warrant.
Santiago has been in jail since the January and has been credited for nearly a year for his time behind bars.
