Roll-Over Crash: Mansfield Police Search For Hit-And-Run Suspect

By the time police arrived, the driver had forced herself out of the car. Police said she was sitting with people who pulled over to help.

MANSFIELD, MA — A roll-over crash on Wednesday morning sent one woman to the hospital and have police looking for a hit-and-run suspect.

At 8:36 a.m., Mansfield Police were called to Chauncey Street because a car rolled over. The woman driving was still trapped inside, callers said. By the time police arrived, the driver, who was the only one in the car, had forced herself out of the car. Police said she was sitting on the ground. Other drivers pulled over to help her, police said

The driver, a 31-year-old Mansfield woman, was taken to a local hospital. Police said they don't believe her injuries are life-threatening.

Police spoke to a witness, who told officers a mid-size black SUV was involved in the crash and then left the area.
