School Committee Chair to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
School Committee Chairman Michael Trowbridge will receive the Massachusetts Association of School Committees' lifetime achievement award.

One of Mansfield’s longest serving officials will be recognized next month by the Massachusetts Association of School Committees.
School Committee Chairman Michael Trowbridge, a 19-year veteran of the board, will receive the MASC’s lifetime-achievement award.
According to Superintendent Zeffro Gianetti’s announcement at Tuesday’s school committee meeting, the lifetime achievement honors individuals who, through their service to their community and their local school committee, have exhibited the best characteristics of public service.

Currently in his seventh term, Trowbridge has also served as the vice-chair and as a representative to several committees.
“He has led the way in trying to build a stronger partnership between our schools and our town government, In addition to his school committee commitments, Michael has donated his professional expertise and personal time towards numerous community activities and organizations,” Gianetti said.

Trowbridge will receive his award at a ceremony in November.
