Selectmen Finalize Solar Farm Deal

A proposed solar farm on Branch Street is set for construction this spring.
Recently, the selectmen, acting as light commissioners, finalized a development agreement with Branch Street Solar Partners, according to the Sun Chronicle. The solar panels are expected to produce 1.5 megawatts of electricity for the town.
A power sales agreement that would allow the town’s electric department to purchase power produced by the panels was also approved.
