Selectmen Race At Mansfield Town Election Developing

So far, Selectman Neil Rhein is the only person to have a challenger.

MANSFIELD, MA — Few people have pulled papers for elected office, but at least one competitive race appears to be developing.

Selectman Neil Rhein has pulled papers to run for reelection and could face a challenge from Kostas Loukos. Rehin won last year's special election to fill the seat left empty by the passing of George Dentino.

Jennifer Walsh has pulled papers and is expected to run for a second term on the school committee.

Housing authority Chairman Kevin Doyle and Moderator Robert H H Saquet have pulled papers for reelection.

As of Feb. 20, no one has returned nomination papers, according to the town clerk's office.

Candidates are required to obtain the signatures of 50 Mansfield voters. The last day to pull papers is March 20.

The 2018 Mansfield Town Election is May 8.
