Selectmen to Set Tax Rate Wednesday Night
The board will meet at 7 p.m. to discuss the tax rate for fiscal year 2016.

The Mansfield Board of Selectmen will set the split rate between residential and commercial-industrial tax rates at their meeting Wednesday night.
At 7 p.m., the board will meet at Town Hall to set the tax levy for fiscal year 2016, according to the selectmen’s agenda.
Like some other towns, Mansfield’s tax rate for commercial and industrial properties to allow for lower residential tax rates. Last year, the selectmen voted to shift the tax rate from 1.21 to 1.24 percent for residential and commercial properties.

During fiscal year 2013, the rate was $15.51 per $1,000 assessed valuation for residential and 20.76 for businesses.
