Single-Car Crash In Mansfield Leads To Drunken Driving Charge

The suspect crashed into two trees near Norfolk Street, police said.

MANSFIELD, MA — An Attleboro man was arrested after police said he drunkenly drove, went off the road, and crashed into two trees.

Brian Watson, 49,pleaded not guilty on Monday in Attleboro District Court to charges of operating under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle negligently to endanger, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and marked lane violations.

At 5 p.m., on Saturday, Watson was arrested after police said he veered off Forbes Boulevard and crashed into two trees near Norfolk Street. Watson was not injured during the crash. According to police, Watson's blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit.
