Special Bristol & Norfolk State Senate Election Voters' Guide

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to pick a new state Senator.

The next state Senator from the Bristol & Norfolk District will be chosen Tuesday.

The area will have a special election to fill the seat vacated by Jim Timilty, who left the state Senate to become the treasurer of Norfolk County.

The Candidates

  • Paul Feeney of Foxborough (D) - Former Foxborough Selectman and Bernie Sanders For President Massachusetts Director
  • Jacob Ventura of Attleboro (R) - Former aide to state Rep. Steve Howitt, R-Seekonk
  • Joe Shortsleeve of Medford (I) - Former WBZ reporter

Most polling locations will be open from 7 a.m to 8 p.m. If you make the line by 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote.

What Is The Bristol & Norfolk District?

The Bristol & Norfolk District is comprised of Foxborough, Mansfield, Norton, about half of Attleboro, Walpole, Medfield, Seekonk, Rehoboth and parts of Sharon.
