Acetylene Tank Fire at Construction Site Extinguished by Mansfield Fire

Fire crews were at the scene at 1:45 Monday afternoon.

Mansfield fire responded to a fire at a Chauncy Street construction site Monday afternoon.

The Sun Chronicle reports that the fire occurred at an Advanced Auto Parts under construction with firefighters responding around 1:45 p.m. Firefighters were at the scene for about an hour, spraying the acetylene tank fire with foam.

The area of Route 106 between Route 140 and Copeland Drive was shut down while crews were at the scene. The street was reopened shortly before 3 p.m.
