Suspect In RI Shooting Arrested in Mansfield Deemed Dangerous

Rashawn T. Clark, 22,​​ has been ordered held without bail

ATTLEBORO, MA — A man arrested in Mansfield and wanted in connection to a Central Falls shooting was deemed dangerous to the public by an Attleboro District Court Judge Monday.

As a result of the finding, Rashawn T. Clark, 22, was ordered held without bail, according to the Sun Chronicle. He was arrested Aug. 30 at his aunt's Mansfield apartment.

When officers went to the apartment, Clark was found hiding in a bedroom closet. During the course of the initial search, police allegedly found a loaded firearm and ammunition in the bedroom along with additional ammunition of a different caliber. He was charged with possession of a firearm without an FID card (subsequent offense), possession of a large capacity firearm, two counts of possession of ammunition, and with being a fugitive from on a court warrant.

In Rhode Island, police say Clark was one of two shooters in a March 5 incident in Central Falls, which resulted in gun wounds for two men. Once his legal proceedings in Massachusetts are over, he is expected to be extradited to Rhode Island to face the shooting charges.
