Sweet N' Crafty to Close

After over 31 years, the end as come for a downtown Mansfield staple.

On Tuesday, ice cream shop Sweet N’ Crafty announced their intention to close this year, ending what had been the longest residency in downtown Mansfield according to the Sun Chronicle.

“We just decided it was time,” manager Vincent Botti told the Sun Chronicle. “My wife and I are both in our 70s and we’re ready to retire, so decided this year would be the last.”

Since their opening in 1983, Sweet N’ Crafty has been a major part of the downtown business area. Only Mansfield Bank has had a longer stay in the downtown area at over 30 years.

According to Sweet N’ Crafty’s Facebook page, the closing date will likely be Sept. 16.
