The Garden Club of Mansfield held its 23rd Annual Gardening on the Green Plant Sale on Saturday, May 20, 2017. We are so thankful for a beautiful spring day which drew a large crowd of gardeners eager to find bargains in our vast selection of perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables, shrubs and trees. Delicious homemade baked goods were sold at our bake sale table. We had a fantastic raffle table full of prizes donated from local businesses and individuals. The plant sale requires a lot of hard work. Many thanks to all the Garden Club members who donated plants from their own gardens, as well as their time and energy. We wish to acknowledge and thank the following contributors:

We sincerely appreciate acting town manager John Stanbrook, Sherri Gurnon, from Parks and Recreation, the Board of Selectmen, the Chief of Police, Ronald Sellon, Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini, and the Department of Public Works for allowing us to hold the sale every year in the Town Hall Parking Lot. We would also like to thank the Mansfield Electric Department for hanging our banner over the Rt 106 underpass.

The Garden Club of Mansfield consists of over 50 men and women who are residents of Mansfield, Norton and Seekonk. We enhance the beauty of Mansfield by maintaining over 20 garden sites in town. The funds from the sale will be used to purchase new plants, donate to charitable organizations, fund youth programs, and pay for speakers and workshops to educate both our members and guests.

The Club meets the second Thursday of each month. Membership is open to anyone who loves to garden or wants to learn more about gardening.
