A two-car crash with injuries was reported on Route 495 just south of Exit 13 in Mansfield Saturday afternoon.
All northbound lanes were closed while an airlift was requested, according to the Massachusetts State Police. Two medical helicopters were called to the scene, according to the Mansfield Fire Department.
NECN reports that two adults were airlifted and a child was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening. A total of eight people, including five children, were involved in the crash.
All lanes reopened, but traffic remained backed up in the area.
