Mansfield Resident Crashes into Mansfield Crossing Store

An SUV reportedly crashed into a building at Mansfield Crossing around midday.

At 12:26 p.m., Mansfield fire responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into Wines and More at the shopping complex on School Street. Upon arrival, responders found one vehicle in the building with heavy damage to both the building and vehicle.

One person, identified as a 54-year-old from Mansfield, was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Mansfield police remained at the scene with the accident reconstruction officer. A preliminary investigation indicates that the operator may have suffered a medical event prior to the collision, according to police.
