Visions for Vacancies: Fales Fuel Co. Property

The Fales Oil Fuels property, located adjoining the bike path on Shawmut Avenue, has been an issue for the town for years.

In 2002, the town took over the land due to unpaid taxes and was authorized by residents to sell the property at auction, but it remains in town hands.

In the past, ideas such as using the land for shops or a parking lot have been floated by town officials, but nothing ever developed.

This year, the Fales Fuel Advisory Committee was created to look at how the land could be used.
