Water Fountain Fix At Mansfield School To Start Soon
The work comes following test results which show the presence of lead and copper in 185 fountains across the schools.

MANSFIELD, MA — Work to replace water fountains in the Mansfield Public Schools will start in a couple of weeks, school officials said.
The work comes following test results which show the presence of lead and copper in 185 fountains across the schools. In a statement with the results, Superintendent Teresa Murphy said they believe the results were due to the equipment and not the water source.
Assistant Superintendent for Finance Ed Donoghue told the Sun Chronicle said a handful of fountains will be replaced and if that solves the problem without the need for plumbing repairs, they will fix more.
