What Happened to the Mansfield Wendy's?

Mansfield, MA - Drive down Copeland Drive and you’ll be disappointed if you’re hankering for a hamburger.

Recently, the Mansfield Wendy’s closed, leaving many to wonder what would become of the only fast food burger joint in town.

“We’ve had a few calls about Wendy’s. They are closed and folks were panicking, asking ‘where do I get my hamburger?’” Town Manager Bill Ross said.

While the restaurant is closed, it is only a temporary closure. Ross told the board that the plan is to demolish the current building a build a new one.

“Apparently they have a new model for their facility, they've been through the planning process,” Ross said.

The parking lot will also go through a renovation to address past drainage issues.

The chain is targeting October or November for the grand re-opening.
