Will Mansfield or Foxboro Win The Ultimate Tailgate?

During April 1 through 15, registered Relay For Life participants will be challenged to make their online donations skyrocket. The team – between the Mansfield and Greater Foxboro events – that raises the most money via the website during that time will win a Buffalo Wild Wings tailgate party for their team during the Relay event.

One team between the two events will win. Teams must be registered by April 1 to participate.

Where The Money Goes

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world’s largest and most impactful fundraising event to end cancer, through disease research and patient services. Since it was founded in 1985, Relay For Life has raised nearly $5 billion globally to fight cancer. Locally, the Mansfield event has generated more than $3 million during the past 10 years.

By donating only $20, anyone can help provide free information and support for a person facing cancer. The American Cancer Society’s cancer information specialists fulfill nearly a million requests from people needing cancer information and answers via 1-800-227-2345, email and online chats each year. Or, $20 can help connect 20 people to clinical trials through ACS’s clinical trials matching service, which currently lists 6,000 ongoing studies.

“We’re celebrating Relay For Life’s 30th anniversary this year,” explained Seiler. “We hope many of our neighbors and friends who helped Mansfield’s event get started more than a decade ago will come home this year to continue our mission to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those whom we’ve lost and to fight back against the disease.”
