Woman Charged With Attempting To Buy iPhones In Mansfield With Fake Info

Sherea Jones, 27, was arrested Sunday and charged with attempting to commit a crime and disorderly conduct.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Springfield woman tried to get two iPhone 8s from a store in Mansfield but left in police custody.

Sherea Jones, 27, was arrested Sunday and charged with attempting to commit a crime and disorderly conduct.

Just after 3 p.m., police were called to the AT&T store on School Street after Jones allegedly attempted to buy two phones and data plans with a Pennsylvania ID and an Ohio billing address, according to the Sun Chronicle. When police asked Jones about her date of birth, address and social security number, she was unable to give clear answers.

Jones was taken into custody after allegedly attempting to flee the store.
