Woman Injured in Rollover on Route 495

A woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after obtaining serious injuries in a rollover accident on Route 495.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., the woman was thrown through the window of her car as the vehicle rolled over. After ending up under the vehicle, the front wheels of her car ended up in a snowbank against a guardrail, wedging the woman, but not crushing her according to the Sun Chronicle.

There were no other injuries and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
