10 Things to Know Before Kickoff

's varsity football team will take on Wakefield tonight at Manning Field in Lynn with a Super Bowl appearance on the line. So, before you put on your black and red and head over to the game, here are the ten things we think you need to know.

1. What's the Weather Going to Be Like? You're going to want to bring an umbrella. The National Weather Service is predicting that local residents can expect a chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m. Tonight should be cloudy, with a low around 52.

2. What Are the Their Records? The Wakefield Warriors cruised into the playoffs with a 9-2 record. The Marblehead Magicians improved to 8-2 after on Thanksgiving Day.

3. Who Are the Stars? Marblehead will be led by their star running back Will Quigley, who plays on both sides of the ball and has 19 touchdowns on the season. Wakefield will be led by quarterback Jamie Bourque, who has 13 touchdown passes on the season.

4. What Time is the Game? Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m., but you're going to want to get there earlier than that if you want to beat the crowd.

5. How Much Are Tickets? Tickets will be sold at the front gate at Manning Field for $8 each. There are no special prices for adults or children.

6. How Do I Get to Manning Field? Manning Field is located off of Locust Street in Lynn. Take 114 out of town and turn right on Eastern Avenue in Swampscott to jump on 129. Then, turn left onto Western Avenue, a right onto Chestnut Street and a left onto Locust. Travel time is about 20 minutes.

7. What If I Can't Make it to the Game? Don't worry, Marblehead Patch will be posting up-to-the-second updates to our Live Blog throughout the game. Our blog will allow you to interact with other fans, ask questions about the game and view photos from the action on the field.

8. When Will the Next Game Be? The MIAA hasn't announced the location of the Division IIA Super Bowl yet. Marblehead Patch will post that information as soon as it is availble.

9. When Was the Last Time The Magicians Made it to the Super Bowl? In 2009, Marblehead lost to Bishop Feehan 12-6 in the Divison III Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium.

10. What Should We Expect from Wakefield? Marblehead High School's coaching staff have been preparing their players for a Wakefield team that is physical, fast and can put points on the board. This should be a fight to the finish.
